Joseph & Maria Tamba

Senior Pastors

Joseph and Maria Tamba are the Senior Pastors of IFGF Singapore and the Founder of Joseph Storehouses based in Singapore. Their calling is "To Rebuild, Raise up, Repair and Restore” – Isaiah 58:12. The local church they are leading, IFGF Singapore, is a dynamic local church with a specific assignment to be “The Gateway to the cities and nations in Asia”. IFGF Singapore is currently overseeing over 180 churches in Asia.

Joseph is an ex-Senior Banker with eighteen years of experience in International Banking. His latest role was Executive Director of one of the largest global banks based in Singapore. Jesus rescued him from death in San Francisco during Summer 1995, after he went through tumultuous college days in United States. After experiencing a turnaround in his life, Joseph graduated with a MBA degree in 1996 and thereafter became an international banker for the next 18 years, as well as a Lay Pastor (pastoring both in the church and marketplace), until today.

Born with the name Gadis Hutagalung, Maria was rescued by Jesus Christ during her teens (college days) from a near-death experience and received her new life.  She then received her calling to serve the Lord and studied Theology in Harvest International Theological Seminary.  She graduated with a Bachelor degree and together with her husband started their Pastoral work in 2003 until today.

Joseph and Maria are members of ISAAC network (International Strategic Alliance of Apostolic Churches).  They are residing in Singapore with 2 wonderful sons, Gabriel and Destiny.

George Lim

Everyone in church knows him as “Uncle” George. He is a true-blue Singaporean and has retired from his engineering profession. Elder George loves cooking, especially for others, and emphasizes that he cooks to “not only fill your stomach, but to 'pamper'your taste-buds.”

Though raised in a Christian home, Elder George did not personally encounter and receive Christ as the Lord of his life until he attended a men's seminar more than 30 years ago.

In the past, Elder George and his wife, Nieke, used to open up their homes to Indonesian students and brought many of these youths to know Christ.

Their heart is for church-planting and they now travel the region to do exactly that. They have 2 sons and 1 daughter, Gideon, Damien and Genevieve, and 4 grandchildren.

Part of the larger IFGF family of churches, IFGF Singapore started on Sunday 24th March 1990 with 26 people. Reaching out mainly to the Indonesian community, the church started under the covering of the Church of Singapore between 1990-1999 before running independently from 1999 onwards. As God impressed upon the hearts of our leaders to reach beyond just the Indonesian community, we changed our name in 2004 from Indonesian Full Gospel Fellowship to International Full Gospel Fellowship, with the mandate to bless and reach people of all races, cultures, and languages.

Our heartbeat is and will always be Loving God, Loving People and Impacting Nations. We believe that God has called us to be a gateway city church, connecting people from all walks of life to Jesus, and today, we stand amazed at what God has done with our church as He continues to move in ways we could never have imagined on our own – from mission trips to neighbouring countries, to powerful encounter retreats, to working with other churches in the community, and even to partnering with local non-profit organizations to connect with and serve people in need in the city of Singapore.

We are people of covenant, authentic in our relationship and committed as a church to grow and serve one another, prospering together as partners, under the apostolic leadership

We fulfill the Great Commission by being God's witness on earth and becoming an example through our lifestyle. We are not only raising a generation of believers, but also cultivating potentials and improving the lives of others

We believe serving from the heart is serving with love, grace, and generosity. It shares life together; becoming a channel of blessing for one another

It is our calling to keep on progressing. Therefore, we aim to be relevant in our ministry, engage with the society, always innovate, and train apprentices as the next leaders in our church and communities

It is our conviction that God creates each one of us a victor. Since the beginning of time, God empowered us to have dominion over the earth. A power was given to impact the lives of others and become the agent of hope and purpose

WE BELIEVE IN GOD – our Creator, Father and Friend; who is loving and merciful, holy and just, the Alpha and Omega (the beginning and the end).
“In the beginning, God created the heavens and the earth... created man in his own image... male and female he created them.” (Genesis 1: 1, 27 ESV)

WE BELIEVE IN JESUS CHRIST – whose death on the cross paid the price for our freedom, whose blood washes away our sins, and whose name gives us the power and authority to overcome.
"For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life.” (John 3:16 ESV)

WE BELIEVE IN THE HOLY SPIRIT – the “breath of God”, who guides, teaches and prays for us, who blesses us with spiritual gifts to strengthen the Church and to empower us in our daily walk with Christ.
“When the Spirit of truth comes, he will guide you into all the truth, for he will not speak on his own authority, but whatever he hears he will speak, and he will declare to you the things that are to come. He will glorify me, for he will take what is mine and declare it to you.” (John 16:13-14 ESV)

WE BELIEVE THAT THE BIBLE IS THE WORD OF GOD - God-inspired and Spirit-breathed - that equips us in our daily walk with Christ, and is eternal and unchanging.
"All Scripture is breathed out by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness, that the man of God may be competent, equipped for every good work." (2 Timothy 3:16-17 ESV)

We believe that Water Baptism is commanded by Christ, symbolic of the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ, and our public declaration of the ‘death’ of our old lives and the beginning of a new life in Christ.
“And Jesus came and said to them, "All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit.” (Matthew 28:18-19 ESV)

We believe that the Holy Communion is a powerful sacrament where, as a church, we remember Jesus’ death in our place and celebrate His resurrection through which we receive life and salvation.
“For as often as you eat this bread and drink the cup, you proclaim the Lord’s death until he comes.” (1 Corinthians 11:26 ESV)

We believe that a covenant with a Local Church not only defines membership in the Church, but also emphasizes on living relationships based on the Word of God and the love of Christ - where every member commits him/herself into building the Local Church through our time and talents, being accountable to each other, and where the Local Church is responsible for spiritually covering and the building up of every member through mentoring, prayer, and iCare groups.

We believe - that we are called to fulfill the Great Commission. Saved people wants to see people saved. We believe that we are called to preach the gospel to all nations, spreading the good news of Jesus far and wide.
“All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age.” (Matthew 28:18-20)

We believe - in the eternal life for believers (John 5:24; 3:16), and eternal punishment for the unbelievers (Mark 9:43-48; 2 Thessalonians 1:9; Revelation 20:10-15).

We believe - in the reality and personality of the Devil and eternal judgment in the Lake of Fire for the Devil and his angels
“Then Death and Hades were thrown into the lake of fire. This is the second death, the lake of fire. And if anyone's name was not found written in the book of life, he was thrown into the lake of fire.” (Revelation 20:14-15)

We Believe - our Lord Jesus Christ is coming back again just as He promised.
For the Lord himself will descend from heaven with a cry of command, with the voice of an archangel, and with the sound of the trumpet of God. And the dead in Christ will rise first. Then we who are alive, who are left, will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air, and so we will always be with the Lord.” (1 Thessalonians 4:16-17)
